Pre-University Summer Program

Develop essential study skills, critical thinking skills, and other skills that you need for a successful university life.

All programs are led by University of Toronto Professors and Lecturers.

Are you a secondary student wondering what skills you need to be successful in university? Participants will benefit from a series of experiences delivered and facilitated by University of Toronto professors and instructors from a range of departments. Students can choose from the following programs:

  • Introduction to Business and Entrepreneurship
  • Introduction to Technology and Design
  • Introduction to Medicine & Health Science

Course Information

  • Course Times: 9:00 - 14:00 (lunch break 11:30 - 12:30)
  • Dates: August 5 - 9, 2024
  • Location: DSC International School
  • Course Fee: $6,500
  • Eligibility: Ages 15 - 18

Coaching Program

Applying to college or university can be incredibly stressful for secondary students, as they may feel unsure about their goals and what they want to study. To help alleviate this stress and uncertainty, students will attend a daily one-hour mentoring sessions. During these sessions, Professors and instructors will guide students in identifying their educational aspirations and help students make informed decisions about their academic pathways. This personalized approach will empower students to navigate the admissions process with confidence.

Sessions will touch upon:

  • Activities that engage with sample resumes and application material
  • Engage in leadership development experiences
  • Practice writing your university application
  • Participate in relationship-building
  • Identify your talents and strengths and align them with disciplinary interests
  • Developing your professional and academic competencies
